Now it’s official: all paid parking in Moscow will be marked blue

This summer, some paid parking lots in the capital were marked with a blue dotted line instead of the usual white markings. Now the Moscow Ministry of Transport has officially announced that by the end of the year all other paid places will “turn blue”.

As the capital’s Ministry of Transport reported in its Telegram channel, the blue dotted line indicating parking can be seen in more than 90 streets of the city. “This allows motorists to easily leave their car where parking is permitted. According to the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to work on creating comfortable and safe traffic conditions for everyone in the city,” said Maxim Liksutov.

By the end of this year, the blue dotted line will be applied to other parts of Moscow’s streets. The Ministry of Transport noted that blue markings allow drivers to quickly and without unnecessary confusion understand that there is a paid parking lot for them, even if the sign indicating the type of parking space has been left behind.
