Following the results of the Russian-Kazakh negotiations, Vladimir Putin said that Moscow and Astana are ready to expand industrial cooperation. Particularly in the neighboring republic, they can expand the capacity of the AVTOVAZ assembly plant.

According to TASS, Vladimir Putin said that Russia is ready to create additional capacity in Kazakhstan for the assembly of LADA cars. “Our countries are carrying out a number of major joint industrial cooperation projects, such as the production of vinyl chloride and other chemical products and mineral fertilizers. Work is underway to increase the localization of LADA car assembly in Kazakhstan,” the president said.

“We are ready to deepen this cooperation, to create additional capabilities on the territory of Kazakhstan, to transfer certain technologies and competencies,” Putin added. And he emphasized that during the negotiations with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev he confirmed this intention.

The head of state also recalled that at the end of September a major industrial exhibition “Innoprom” was held in Astana, where Russian developments were presented.
