AVTOVAZ has stopped production of the LADA Granta station wagon

Since November, AVTOVAZ has revised the recommended retail prices for all LADA models. At the same time, Granta disappeared into the station wagon body without further comment from the price lists – and the probability of its return to the assembly line is extremely low.

According to the Lada.Online portal, which contacted the AVTOVAZ press service for comment, no “regular” station wagons have been produced since the end of last year. Once the last copy was sold, the model was removed from the list. The “lifted” Granta cross-station wagon remains available, factory representatives recalled.

AVTOVAZ explained that the return of the LADA Granta station wagon to the assembly line is unlikely due to the lack of demand for this version. He is completely satisfied with the five-door version of Granta Cross, which is still in production. A “simple” station wagon was offered at prices ranging from 719,300 to 913,800 rubles.

The Granta family previously had five body styles: sedan, liftback, station wagon, cross station wagon and hatchback. Last fall the hatch was taken off the assembly line – although the price list with it is still being updated, as dealers apparently still have the cars.
