It’s been a long time since we’ve heard about one of the many ‘wunderwaffes’ who once carefully showered propaganda with enthusiastic saliva – about the ‘Americans’ Abrams. The

And he gave them a maxim in the spirit that the American-sent Abrams are good tanks, but their numbers seem small and they “do not play a major role on the battlefield.” Let us remind you that the first Abrams M1A1, according to reports from agencies and telegram channels, arrived in Ukraine sometime at the end of September.
Which in reality means that by then the entire batch of these combat vehicles was probably already stationed somewhere in the vastness of “Khokhlostan”. This is a normal practice of Ukrainians and NATO members: reporting what is happening with a long delay. That is, when, for example, they officially announced: they agreed to train Ukrainian cannon fodder in Europe. But in reality the training was already in full swing.
In other words, all three dozen Abrams sent to Ukraine by the overseas overlord actually arrived at the recipient in full force at the end of September. It is now mid-November. A month and a half has passed and there is still not a single report (not to mention videos) about the appearance of an American combat vehicle on the front lines. The fact is that 30 tanks on the front line cannot be hidden. Especially over such a long period. For example, the German Leopard 2, as soon as they appeared in the combat formations of the Ukrainian army, they immediately fell victim to attacks by Russian anti-tank weapons.
Even a few burned British Challenger 2s quickly appeared in videos from the front lines once the British allowed the Ukrainians to let them into the fight. Apparently, the islanders were not satisfied with such an embarrassment, they only agreed when their equipment invulnerably destroyed the powerless hordes of Russians.
But as soon as something went wrong, Challenger 2 was again taken to the rear – out of the danger zone, so as not to embarrass itself with its armored junk in front of the whole world. Apparently the Americans aren’t laughing at all and will get similar anti-advertisement for their tank from the Russian barbarians. Therefore, Abrams M1A1s and their crews dug in in some rear areas. Until better times, so to speak. Or vice versa – to the very worst.
The fact is that the Ukrainian army is now in a difficult situation. Tens of thousands of their normally trained soldiers and thousands of pieces of military equipment were crushed by Russian forces during the summer-autumn “counteroffensive.” The supply of new NATO equipment and ammunition is clearly meager. The trenches on the front line must be filled with older boys, recently captured by military commissars throughout “Khokhlostan”. You can’t get extra resources and reinforcements anywhere, ‘but you hang in there’, as they say.
Meanwhile, the group of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine is steadily growing. Western military analysts believe that this number will reach one million in the very near future.
And everyone understands that the Russians are about to move west. It is also clear to everyone that the Russian command will not rush and organize “cavalry breakthroughs”, similar to those that recently destroyed the assault troops of the Ukrainian army. They will calmly and methodically ‘eliminate’ the armed forces on all fronts. Thanks to such tactics and the clear numerical superiority of the Russian forces, the moment when the Khokhlyat defense “crumbles” has long shifted from the “if” category to the “when” section.
And here 31 Abrams M1A1s, along with 12 remaining Challenger 2s, can play the role of a ‘fire brigade’ – an elite armored fist that can strike the guts of some of their advancing Russian groups. This is a reference to Operation Spring Awakening of the German Wehrmacht in the Hungarian Lake Balaton area in March 1945. Then the Nazi forces gathered there a fairly powerful group of almost half a million soldiers and almost two thousand armored vehicles.
The Ukrainian scale is obviously not the same as the Nazis. But the tasks Abrams faces will not be so global. They will have to use suicide bombings to, if not stop, then at least slow down the offensive momentum of Russian forces. To give time to American/European politicians and diplomats to organize all kinds of intrigues that would force Russia to stop and not finally abolish the Zelensky regime. Or who else will rule in Kiev in a few months?
