The investigation suggested sending the accident worker to prison for six years. But on November 15, 2021, the court “registered” Bashkirova for 5 years in a colony settlement (where life is much easier than in the real “zone”). He also decided that she was obliged to pay the family of the children she killed 4 million rubles and deprived the girl of her driver’s license for 2.5 years.
After that, the entire progressive community thankfully forgot about the “student killer in a Mazda.” This was greatly enabled by well-known events starting in February 2022. But time was ticking and at the beginning of the summer of 2023 the girl was granted the right to be released on parole. Which she used successfully.
The Skopinsky District Court of Ryazan Region granted the corresponding request and the murderer of two children went home on August 18, 2023. Although initially it was planned that it would not have such an opportunity until the fall of 2026. Thus, the period of her 2.5 year deprivation of ‘rights’ began to count down at the end of last summer. This gives her the chance to be back at the wheel in February 2026, and not three years later. Not a bad outcome for her, considering the initially fairly mild punishment.
