Milan Nedeljkovic, member of the board of directors and head of BMW’s production division, said nearly 40% of natural gas in Germany is consumed by machine-building companies. Speaking of the Bavarian concern, the energy consumption of gas was over 54% last year.
“Not just BMW, but the entire segment could come to a halt,” said a BMW spokesman.
In other words, if gas supplies from Russia are stopped, the history of the entire European car industry could end.
