Prices at gas stations are already so high that even consumers are starting to think about finding more affordable fuel. The first option that naturally comes to mind is refueling at a makeshift pump, but there a cocktail of dirt and additives is poured into the tank, and in a much smaller volume than paid for, so it is not worth taking this route to go. And it’s good that there is another option that does not imply leaving the usual network of gas stations. Which, says the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.
There was a very interesting offer on the most famous notice board. ‘I will fill up my car with your diesel fuel. Price – 40 rubles per liter, volume – a few times a month, 60-150 liters. And the last condition is from a gun at a gas station, not from a bus. Where do you, dear fellow, expect to find such a smart guy who allows you to refuel 30% cheaper than the market? At first glance this is nonsense. But in reality, no – there will be reactions.
Diesel fuel was always drained. But if earlier these were bus and taxi depots with dirty cans from which, under the cover of darkness, fuel was “transferred” into the gas tanks of approaching cars, now the process looks very different.
Drivers have long had fuel cards – with them, like other drivers, they come to the most popular gas stations and refuel their work vehicles in the general queue. No one hands you money: only ‘plastic’ with a liter, no ruble balance. But it doesn’t save you from being ‘exhausted’: drivers still add a ‘bonus’ to their wages, just as they did decades ago. Is this good or bad? Illegal, that’s for sure. But who will stop?
Carefully stored residual fuel can be sold. Someone is negotiating with gas station employees who are also involved in the fraud, someone is looking for customers in the queue: “they say: do you want to refuel cheaper, and then I pay by card?” And they find it. How much do they sell? Usually 10-12 rubles below the station price list. But both parties to the transaction understand it: a long-term contract implies stable savings for one and stable income for the other. After agreeing once, the first person receives a permanent benefit and the second a permanent customer. And this is worth a lot, you can give up part of the profit.
Why does the company owner allow such blatant embezzlement? Does he really not know? Of course he does. It looks like this is already written in the alphabet. Don’t underestimate your bosses: Every experienced fleet manager knows that drivers waste fuel. But this is usually overlooked because it is much more profitable to make employees feel like they are cheating their bosses than to increase their salaries.
In other words, we have before us a classic example of silent conspiracy: I know you steal, but you control yourself and ‘don’t go too far’. And everyone is happy. Especially happy fuel buyers who can fill up their car’s tank with a 30 percent discount.
