JAC JS3 will compete for the wallets of buyers looking at compact crossovers. The dimensions of the car are 4345 × 1765 × 1640 mm with a wheelbase of 2560 mm. That is, in terms of size it is comparable to, for example, the latest Geely Coolray. Although that competitor can boast a higher ground clearance: 180 mm for the Coolrey versus 155 mm for the JS3. But the JAC SUV wins in the battle for luggage space: the luggage compartment has a capacity of 600 liters, while the Geely crossover has 330 liters.
As for the engines, the JAC JS3, aimed at the Russian market, has a modest 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine with 109 hp. Of. and 150 Nm of torque. It can be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive. The front suspension consists of MacPherson struts, the rear is semi-independent. Overall, in terms of “technique”, it is a classic of the segment.
Three configurations are offered for the JS3: Comfort (for manual transmission cars) and Luxury (for both modifications). In the “basic” you will find LED daytime running lights, multifunction steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitor, airbags for the driver and passenger. For the older version you will have to pay at least 1,899,000 (for “mechanics”) or 1,999,000 (for CVT) rubles. It provides, among other things, automatic folding of side mirrors, sound insulation of the hood, ‘climate’ instead of ‘condya’, more audio system speakers (six instead of four) and a rear-view camera.
