The Chinese crossover Geely Xingyue L, known as Monjaro in export markets, was launched with a new power plant consisting of a 1.5-liter “four” and a pair of electric motors. However, the power reserve remains the same: 1279 km according to the old European NEDC cycle.
According to the Autohome portal, the new hybrid power plant consists of a gasoline “four” BHE15-BFZ with a power of 163 hp, which serves as a starter generator for an electric motor of 82 hp, and of another electric motor with an efficiency of 136 hp – it is equipped with a recovery system and allows the wheels to spin immediately. This crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and the average fuel consumption is 4.79 l/100 km.
Externally, the Geely Monjaro in this version is distinguished by a radiator grille with vertical bars and a stricter design of the bumpers. With the new power plant, the crossover has become 10 kg lighter, but the payload has also decreased by 21 kg.
In China, the new product costs 171,700 yuan or 2.2 million rubles, but the prospects for its appearance in Russia are still unknown. Our prices for Monjaro start at 4,674,990 rubles.
