According to the governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov, the Volga Automobile Plant will not be limited to just a single model with a Franco-Romanian past. The product line is complemented by another – Renault Sandero.
As a result of the agreements reached today, we can confidently state that AvtoVAZ will produce Renault Duster and Renault Sandero in the future,” the official TASS is quoted as saying.
But the latest Renault Logan, already “run-in”, not only in the AVTOVAZ workshops, but also at the test site, is unlikely to be put on the assembly line under the LADA brand. The car will apparently be registered at the former Renault Russia plant in Moscow, and they will call it the original Russian model name Moskvich.
