According to the Lada.Online portal, three months ago AVTOVAZ issued instruction No. 77-23, which orders official dealers to check the gearboxes of some Niva Travel and Niva Legend. The document states that if the owner of an SUV from a certain VIN list contacts the LADA service and complains of “stuck of the transmission gears”, specialists should make a diagnosis and, if necessary, replace the spring bushing of the rear gear need to be replaced.
This requires the unit to be removed and installed, but all work is of course carried out free of charge to the customer.
The event concerns service and not recalls, so all necessary procedures will be carried out during a scheduled visit to the technical center.
