Iranian Saipa cars will still come to Russia

The Iranian manufacturer Saipa will still enter the Russian market, albeit not directly. Although the collaboration with Best Motors has ended, the automaker has found a different path than the Russian Federation.

The Saipa company has released an official statement refuting information about the brand’s refusal to supply cars to Russia – it was published by our foreign colleagues from Khodrobank. The St. Petersburg company Best Motors, in fact, is no longer a distributor of the brand, but the Iranians continue to cooperate with the Belarusian company Lucky Valuta, through whose forces they plan to enter our market. It is said that the process of certification of models for Russia is in the final stages and deliveries of commercial vehicles will begin in the coming months.

Saipa expects that the cars will find buyers even despite the fierce competition with Chinese models, but Saipa’s main rival, based on the prices announced last spring, will most likely be LADA.

Best Motors planned to sell Saina and Shahin sedans, as well as the Quik hatchback, in Russia – their cost should have been between 1 and 1.7 million rubles. It is still unknown which models Lucky Valuta wants to supply to our market.
