The Russian company Trend will invest 20 billion rubles in the construction of a truck production plant near Novosibirsk. The project has already been approved at a meeting
As TASS reports, the aim of the project is to build an enterprise in the Novosibirsk region that will produce a wide range of commercial trucks with a loading capacity from two to fifteen tons. Trend is convinced that there is a great demand for such transport in Russia today. The first truck will roll off the assembly line in 2027; it will be a five-ton truck.
The general director of the company, Konstantin Podshivalov, noted that a plot of 17 hectares was chosen for the construction of the plant, on which it is technically possible to equip all the necessary facilities. The project will be carried out in two phases. First, the idea is to assemble trucks from domestic and foreign components; the intention is to create workshops for the production of frames and cabins, as well as an assembly workshop. At the second stage, the production line will be expanded – new workshops will appear on the territory for the production of our own parts.
When the factory reaches its design capacity, it will employ more than 2,000 people.
