Insurance companies send orders to their agents requiring them to hand over old OSAGO policy forms and only use new ones. Traditional promotion at the end of each year, nothing new. However, in 2024, this ‘shift change’ could have very serious consequences for drivers. Which, discovered the portal “AvtoVzglyad”.
New year – new rules. Therefore, under these auspices, the insurance companies decided to implement a shift change, replacing the AAM series OSAGOs with the new AAN. This has happened many times, and it has happened now: according to the order sent everywhere, agents and brokers are prohibited from using the old series of printed OSAGO forms.
Typographic forms are, let us recall, strict reporting forms (SSR), for the use of which the recipient and signer are responsible. Yet the reporting is strict. However, in Russia anything can happen, and at the moment of ‘shift change’ these same forms are sometimes ‘lost’, ‘spoiled’ and the list goes on.
It is not necessary to tell anyone what happens next: the BSO comes up with various types of scammers who, under the guise of an ‘original’ – after all, a printed form, and not an A4 sheet – sell insurance to ordinary people. drivers, bribed with a ‘good discount’. The fact that the prices for compulsory motorcycle liability insurance are actually prescribed by law and the cost of insurance can be calculated almost to the ruble does not clarify anyone. Discounts work wonders.
Indeed, such a policy can “convince” a tired traffic police officer, who is unlikely to look at something there at night and check it in detail: it is there and it is good. But a policy sold at a “discount” will never be included in the RSA database and will therefore fall under distribution in our high-tech, ever-changing world: from January 1, 2024, still and video recording cameras will begin to identify cars that are not legally insured, which will lead to the imposition of a fine, receipts of 800 rubles. And so – every day.
Traffic cameras will quickly “compensate” for the discount and will not allow “savings” and “I’ll do it tomorrow, I don’t have time today” to drive for free, increasing safety on Russian roads – uninsured vehicles will simply travel less often or completely imposed. For connoisseurs of collecting fines, a new service has already appeared: the federal “Web” system, to which all Russian cameras that record traffic violations without exception are connected, will warn the guard in advance about the approach of a “collector” .
This is followed by a stop, drawing up a report, a trip to the police station and for the car: a plot of land seized. By the way, in Russia currently about three million car owners have not completed the mandatory third-party liability insurance procedure, but from the New Year there will be significantly fewer. The fines will do their job, there is no doubt about that. From my own experience, so to speak.
