The inspection of the car you like starts with the body. There aren’t many bolts here, but they’re all important. Therefore, we open all the doors in turn and look at the bolt heads. They should all be intact, with no marks or deep scratches. Otherwise, we can conclude that they are unscrewed, that is, the doors are removed. And the doors are usually disassembled after a serious accident. Of course there are exceptions. For example, on an experienced Nexia, the door is changed because it is simply “eaten” by rust, but these are very neglected cases. Nothing surprising here, but broken bolts on a fresh car are cause for thought.
Next, you need to open the hood and inspect the bolts that secure the front fenders. Here everything is the same: they must be intact and covered with factory paint. It happens that in the case of repair they are unscrewed very carefully. But the trace of the key head is still discernible. If such traces were found, it means that the wing has been changed or repaired.
Then we carefully inspect the bolts of the hood. It is also not easily removed. Therefore, if the seller says that the car was not in an accident and there are traces on the bolts, then most likely he is cheating.
It is advisable to inspect the radiator frame fasteners. This is not easy to do as not all bolts are in sight. However, it does take some tinkering because in an accident this plastic frame quickly cracks.
Another interesting place under the hood is the generator. If you see the mounting bolts torn off, it’s a reason to be wary. The fact is that the node resource is quite decent. This is often equal to 140,000 kilometers. If the car has a mileage up to 50,000 km and the generator has been replaced, then the odometer is twisted. Know – “fifty kopecks” is not the mileage where the diode bridge becomes useless, bearings or brushes wear out.
