Last year, 15,300 cars of the revived domestic Moskvich brand were sold in Russia. The brand’s product line currently includes three models: the Moskvich 3 and Moskvich 3e crossovers, as well as the Moskvich 6 liftback, but more will come in the coming year.
According to the Moskvich press service, a new product also managed to enter the sales statistics: the Moskvich 6 liftback, which appeared on the market in October and sold 250 cars. The brand closed the last month of 2023 with a result of 2,243 cars sold.
The factory has ambitious plans for this year: in the first half of the year the mid-sized Moskvich 5 crossover should appear on the production line, later it will be joined by the larger Moskvich 8 with three rows of seats and an electric version of the Moskvich 6 liftback is also expected.
Last summer, the pre-production prototype of the Moskvich 5 was shown: it will be a converted JAC JS5/Sehol X6 with 1.5-liter petrol turbo engines with a power of 149 or 184 hp. Of. and a CVT or “robot” to choose from. Drive is front wheel drive only. The Moskvich 8 is built from a JAC X8 Plus with a 1.5-liter turbo engine of 150 hp. Of. and a “robot” with 6 gears. The drive wheels are also front wheels only.
