AVTOVAZ summarized the final results of 2023 and talked about its plans for 2024. There were no sensations – unless, of course, you count the announcement of a new brand by the company’s president Maxim Sokolov.
However, representatives of AVTOVAZ recalled that last year more than 370,000 cars were produced in Tolyatti, covering 35% of the market, and this year they will produce at least 500,000. At the same time, Mr. Sokolov emphasized that the company’s adaptation to the new sanction conditions is almost complete, and assembly sites will no longer lack parts for the production of current models (more than 1000 positions are located in Russia). And what’s more, it will continue to develop new ones – primarily Aura and Iskra.
“Aura” and “Iskra” will be launched in series next year. Moreover, AVTOVAZ plans to create some kind of crossover on its own B+ platform, but the residents of Tolyatti mention neither the name of the new product nor the timing of its appearance.
