On a popular website with free classifieds, a very rare car has appeared for sale – an ambulance that worked for almost 25 years in the Alushta department of the Ministry of Health of the USSR. The Volga served from 1966 until the collapse of the Soviet Union and then spent more than 30 years in a private collection.
According to the owner, the body and chassis numbers correspond to the documents – the car is an original copy of the GAZ-22D and not a conversion of an ordinary “civilian” station wagon. And this is very rare today, because such Volgas sometimes worked in rather harsh conditions, and only a few managed to survive to this day.
This copy from Crimea also requires restoration – although “the body crevices and geometry are ideal”, and the car, as the seller claims, “is untouched, not cooked”, the interior needs to be at least put in order. Under the hood of the GAZ-22D is the same power unit as the sedan, that is, a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter gasoline engine with a power of 75 hp. Of. and a 3-speed manual transmission.
The seller expects to get exactly 1,500,000 rubles for the Volga ambulance.
