The Dorogomilovsky District Court of Moscow banned the sale on the Internet, including on the AliExpress marketplace, of special devices that allow you to hide state license plates from traffic cameras. Such products contradict the standards of the Federal Road Safety Act.
As TASS reports with reference to court material, information about the frames for the license plate, which allows it to be hidden from visual identification in any way, is now recognized as “prohibited for distribution.” The resolution forms the basis for including sites that post advertisements for the sale of devices such as folding frames, “slippers” or electric sun blinds in the corresponding “black” register.
The court ruling states that such announcements appear to contradict the standards of the federal law on traffic safety. In addition, driving a car with illegible or altered license plates will result in a fine or deprivation of your driver’s license. In this regard, the Dorogomilovsky Court considered the publication on the Internet of advertisements for the sale of devices that hide car registration marks from video cameras as illegal.
