The average cost of a used car of a Chinese brand at the end of 2023 increased by 102% in 2022 – to 1.8 million rubles. Representatives of the automotive industry in other countries of the world increased in price much more modestly: by 24%.
As Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports with reference to a survey of the Drom service, Geely cars have increased in price the most on the secondary market over the past year – from an average of 925,000 to 1,700,000 million rubles, that is, by 86%. The cost of used Changan increased by 79% – up to 2,500,000 rubles, Chery cars increased in price by 47% – also up to 2,500,000 rubles, Haval crossovers – 10%, up to 2,300,000 rubles, and used Exeed only 4%, up to 3,300,000 rubles.
Among the popular “Chinese” models, Geely Emgrand EC8 has noticeably increased in price – by as much as 408%, from 150,000 to 755,000 rubles, Changan Raeton – by 231%, from 785,000 to 2,600,000 rubles, and Changan Eado – by 163% , from 520,000 to 1,400,000 rubles.
At the same time, prices of Geely (+16%) and Chery (+15%) in the new car market rose the most significantly. Among the models, Chery Tiggo 7 has increased significantly in price – by 160%, from 1,000,000 to 2,600,000 rubles, Haval H6 – by 111%, from 1,400,000 to 2,900,000 rubles, as well as Haval H5 – by 64% , from 2,500,000 to 4,050,000 rubles.
