Chery’s Russian representative office has decided to introduce another sub-brand to the domestic market – Exlantix. It will sell electric vehicles positioned as premium vehicles, and its firstborn
According to the Exlantix press service, the new brand of Chinese premium electric cars “will become a symbol of innovation, style and responsibility for the future generation.” The ES sedan, which will go on sale first, will have a panoramic roof with an automatic dimming function, LED optics and two LCD displays under the headlights, allowing the car to ‘communicate’ with the outside world.
The CATL traction battery with a capacity of 82 kWh promises a range of 650 km according to the “Chinese” CLTC cycle, and it will be possible to replenish the charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. In China, the electric sedan is sold in both an all-wheel drive version with a twin-motor power plant producing 480 hp, and a rear-wheel drive version with electric motors producing 252 or 313 hp.
Exlantix has not yet announced which change will appear in Russia, but notes that the new product will have more than 30 intelligent assistants, including a parking assistant, adaptive cruise, Face ID and other features. All four doors are promised to be equipped with electric drive and shutters.
The start of Russian sales of Exlantix ES is scheduled for the summer of this year, prices are still kept secret.
