Prices for used cars increased by 30% last year – from an average of 1,206,000 rubles in January to 1,571,000 rubles in December. At the same time, offers from private owners “increased” in price by 32% – from 1,070,000 to 1,415,000 rubles, while car dealers increased the price by only 22% – from 1,709,000 to 2,091,000 rubles per year.
As Izvestia reports based on a survey by the company Avto.ru Business, users of sites with free advertising are increasingly beginning to give preference to private individuals when buying a car. If in January-February the average publication period of car dealers and private sellers was approximately the same, the latter began to sell cars more quickly in March. In December, private cars were sold on average fifteen days earlier than car dealers.
The most popular economy class cars are sold in less than five weeks – for example, the LADA Granta is offered on average for only 28 days and costs about 574,000 rubles. In second place is Hyundai Solaris with an average price of 1,092,000 rubles, in third place is Kia Rio with 1,115,000 rubles. This is followed by Volkswagen Polo (RUB 1,094,000) and LADA Vesta (RUB 1,018,000).
In the middle price segment, the leader is the Toyota Camry with an average price of 2,541,000 rubles, and in the premium class the BMW 5 Series for 3,559,000 rubles.
