Suzuki statement on allegations that “cheap, low-quality vehicles are deliberately sold in Turkey”

Japanese car giant Suzuki recently said: “In Turkey, cheap or low-quality vehicles are deliberately sold.” came forward with his accusations. In addition, there was a lot of talk on social media about a citizen who bought a Vitara model with rusty seats.

When the citizen reached out to the company regarding the issue, “The answer we received was: ‘You are a citizen of the Republic of Turkiye. You do not live in a country of the European Union or an American country. Our Turkish partners gave us information. Business in your country takes years.. Good luck to the Turkish judiciary, don’t bother us anymore. He claimed he had received the answer. Today, Suzuki Turkey issued a statement on the issue. The brand rejected the allegations in a statement on social media.

Statement from Suzuki Türkiye:

“Dear Suzuki family,
It has become necessary for us to provide information regarding the false and exaggerated claims recently made public about our Suzuki Vitara model, especially those shared on social media without investigating the source.
Our Vitara model, whose compliance with European standards is confirmed by TSE with type-approval certificates, is produced at the factory in Hungary with the same standards and characteristics as the vehicles sold in all European countries. It is not possible to deliberately send cheaper or lower quality models to our country.
On the other hand; The news that our nation and our legal system are being humiliated by the Japanese Consulate or Embassy and Suzuki Global with statements that denigrate our country is also baseless. Both institutions have written to us and stated that it is not possible to use bad words against the Turkish nation and our country.
Our country has highly developed standards in the automotive industry. Compliance with the regulations, which are scrupulously enforced by our relevant government agencies and standards bodies, is a top priority for Suzuki, like all brands. Relevant authorities try to maintain the highest level of service standards through inspections and guidance when necessary.
At Suzuki Türkiye we continue to stand behind our products and services. We respectfully inform you that, despite all care and attention, in the event of general or individual malfunctions of our vehicles, we will not hesitate to take action in favor of our customers in accordance with the relevant laws and procedures.
For all your questions, requests and feedback, you can reach our authorized dealer service organization and our call center every day of the week between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM at 444 5 795.
We regret that such an opportunity has come up with unfair accusations and generalizations. We thank you for your trust and express our respect.”
