Let us remind you that in 2022 the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD) predicted the liquidation of a third of car centers. However, as of mid-January this year, there are 3,653 official DCs in Russia for the sale and maintenance of passenger cars. In other words, over the year the number of dealers increased by 489 – up from 3,164 in January 2023.

As the Autostat agency reports in a new study, the increase in the number of dealers is due to the fact that 1,448 contracts were concluded and 959 terminated during the year. Many closed dealers have become service partners and new contracts have been concluded mainly with Chinese. to notice. In second place, of course, are domestic brands.

In 2023, the brands Jaecoo (158 dealers), Jetour (145), Kaiyi (105), BAIC (92), Livan (80), Tank (41), SWM (32) and Hongqi (19) debuted on the Russian market. The number of dealers of Chinese brands previously working in Russia also increased: JAC (+52 points), Changan (+51), OMODA (+49), Geely (+42), Voyah (+37), FAW (+ 27), Haval (+25) and Exeed (+18). Among domestic brands, Moskvich has strengthened its dealer network the most: the revived brand now has 71 additional centers. Evolute opened 15 more dealers, LADA – only four. First of all, dealers of European, Japanese, Korean and American brands closed their doors forever.
