According to the Quto portal, private sellers are already importing a brutal new product from the Chinese auto industry to Russia, which premiered last summer. The BYD Yangwang U8 frame SUV, more than 5.3 meters long, appeared in the showrooms of one large dealer network – they even managed to buy one car from them.
The off-road vehicle is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine of 271 hp that acts as a generator for a traction battery with a capacity of 49 kWh. The wheels are driven by four electric motors with a total power of 1197 “horses”. Thanks to the individual wheel controls, BYD can perform the now fashionable ‘tank turn’ and other off-road tricks.
By the way, another Chinese SUV, very similar to the Yangwang U8, also came to Russia – the no less brutal M-Hero. While it is being “marinated” in Motorinvest’s warehouses, sales are about to begin. The cost will be announced later, but should be significantly lower than the 32 million rubles asked for the U8. For example, at Avilon they promised a price tag of 18 million rubles.
