Avtotor will assemble a series of Dongfeng Sokon crossovers

The official distributor of Dongfeng passenger cars in Russia, the Motorinvest company, and the Kaliningrad car manufacturer Avtotor have entered into an agreement to produce a series of DFSK ix5 and ix7 crossovers. But its volume is not specified.

According to the Dongfeng press service, a batch of Dongfeng Sokon – or DFSK for short – will be assembled at Avtotor on behalf of Motorinvest. The model line includes a coupe-shaped crossover with a ‘sporty’ design ix5 and a seven-seater SUV ix7 with all-wheel drive. The new products will expand the DFSK family in the Russian market, which is currently only represented by the three-row 580 all-terrain vehicle.

Based on the results of the assembly of the first batch of cars, a decision will be made to extend the cooperation between Avtotor and Motorinvest. It is noted that as part of the cooperation, the distributor assumes obligations to distribute the manufactured machines, sell them, provide after-sales, technical and warranty service, and is also responsible for the supply of spare parts and parts for Russian buyers.
