For security reasons, authorities have closed 11 southern airports – including Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar and Simferopol – after the start of the special operation in Ukraine. These cities can now only be reached by train or car. But if in the first case there are natural restrictions on passenger traffic (a certain number of flights, seats in cars), then a real “cork hell” is expected on “unlimited” routes.
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin, speaking at the forum of road initiatives “Innovative Technologies and Intelligent Transport Systems in Road Construction”, organized by the state-owned company Avtodor, noted that the southern roads are not ready for such a high load . By the way, the checkpoints on the borders with Georgia and Azerbaijan are also preparing for collapse. Reconstruction would help solve the problem, but of course this is not a quick process.
In any case, remember the story of the Dzhubga-Sochi highway, the construction of which has been discussed for more than a year. Now the state-owned company Avtodor is considering two routing options, and the priority is to bypass Adler, Lazarevsky, Tuapse and Sochi itself. The stumbling block is the complex terrain and, as a result, the excessive cost of the project.
To implement it as quickly as possible, the road builders want to use the experience of colleagues from China and Turkey. But this is in any case still a long way off: even technical studies have not been completed. In addition, the new route will only unload the Black Sea coast – the flow will still only go to Krasnodar.
In the meantime, to save precious vacation time and your own nerves, you better choose another direction if possible. In addition, as the AvtoVzglyad portal has already written, rest in the same Crimea has many other shortcomings. And here you can read more about it.
