Suzuki is preparing for an innovative experiment at its factory in India. Together with Yamanashi Hydrogen Company, they will explore hydrogen technology for application at the Maruti Suzuki India Limited plant. This makes production more energy efficient.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is a leading automaker in South Asia. Here they produce a whole range of Japanese cars that are sold in India itself as well as exported to Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. The Suzuki S-Cross and Vitara crossovers roll off the factory assembly line, and recently the Jimny SUV was also assembled here.

These cars are well known to our customers, while other models meet the requirements of the local market and are less well known beyond that.

In this factory, the company started an experiment to make the mounting location more energy-efficient. Suzuki management plans to make extensive use of hydrogen technology and renewable energy sources. All this will reduce costs, which will ultimately affect end-buyers of cars.
