In recent years, many residential complexes have been built along the Pyatnitskoye Highway, but the highway, designed in the 80s of the last century, was not ready for heavy traffic. It is impossible to solve the problem of the eternal traffic jams by extending the road, because it goes through settlements, which means that plots have to be moved. Therefore, they chose another path – the construction of an understudy.
A tender for the design and construction has already been announced. According to Kommersant, the five-kilometer highway will start at the village of Svetlye Gory (10 km from the Moscow ring road), bypass settlements on the western side and connect to the main road near Yurlovo village. There will be six lanes, the maximum design speed is 120 km/h. The amount of investment in the project will be about 9 billion budget rubles. And according to the plan, it should be implemented in 2023-2025.
Unable to find an investor for six years, the authorities had to abandon the idea of building an understudy under a concession agreement and fund the project themselves. For drivers, this means that the track will be clear. Incidentally, this is not the only case in recent times when investors refused to build roads. For example, the state-owned company Avtodor also faced such a problem, which cannot lure partners to the last part of the central ring road.
