Such a replacement, as considered by the AvtoVzglyad portal, is formally available, but there are some nuances.

Above all, the exodus of “foreigners” should rejoice over the GAZ and KamAZ brands. But neither Gorky nor residents of Chelny came to STT, since both plants now have enough other concerns … For example, in Nizhny Novgorod, they are launching a powerful foundry and preparing to present a new turbo diesel. And in Naberezhnye Chelny, the staff is fraught with the infamous import substitution.

Whether it’s business MAZ! Belarusians have long established the assembly of Chinese engines and gearboxes in their native countries, making bridges and other components themselves. It is therefore not surprising that Minskers set up a huge 8×8 dump truck at the fair in the capital, which will easily replace Scania and Volvo. The cost of a four-wheel drive sample is about 15,000,000 rubles.

Expensive? It’s like watching! The Korean Daewoo Trucks does not hesitate to ask for a middle-aged Novus road model from 11 to 19 million. By the way, the design of these trucks is so conservative that V-shaped “sixes” are still hidden under the cab. While other heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers have long used inline engines.

Potential buyers are offered to choose the number of axles, engine power and gearbox brand (if manual transmission). There are also several options for add-ons, including a concrete pump … The Daewoo brand machines themselves are considered simple and reliable, but as you can see, they are much more expensive than their competitors.

By the way, as distributor representatives told the AvtoVzglyad portal, Daewoo Novus will undergo a major update by the end of the year! They also reported that truck assembly at the Avtotor in Kaliningrad had stopped. And now cars are transported only (!) from the port of Vladivostok to the warehouse in Moscow.

Most of the “Chinese” also came to the exhibition with “moonshine”, but not from Vladivostok, but through Kazakhstan. And for good reason! It seems that it is the products of “heavenly” manufacturers that will become the main driving force behind our construction projects in the near future. In addition, the eastern neighbors are ready to offer a lot of interesting developments.

For example, models under the Sitrak brand have … a MAN TGA license. Engines, axles, cabins – everything here is German, since the CNHTC concern some time ago managed to purchase documentation and equipment for the production of such trucks. In addition, the price of a dump truck is quite 8,500,000 rubles.

In general, it is time for domestic carriers and drivers to get to know the names Howo, Sitrak, Sinotrak, Shacman and Hongyan – these cars clearly look more modern than our K3 series, which is now produced by KamAZ. For example, for the same money a Kama Komtrans costs, you can buy a three-axle Sinotruk – and this is a licensed Volvo for a while.
