Chinese automaker Chery announces the expansion of its All-Domain Power Architecture 4.0 development and development program. It includes the design of new engines, both petrol and innovative – electric, hybrid and hydrogen. All of these power plants should see the light of day within thirty years.
As for petrol engines, engineers are already testing three engines from the fourth generation Acteco TGDI series. The fifth generation gasoline engine development program has also been approved.
The release of the first production car with the fifth-generation power plant is planned for 2024. It will be a 1.5-liter supercharged GDI engine, in which specialists from the Austrian company AVL List GmbH are participating.
In hybrid technology, Chery is now concentrating on researching the Miller cycle, which is expected to be used in hybrids powered by the G4 and G5 series engines. In the future, the developments will be applied to various compact and small cars.
