ARTICLE 1- The name of the Communiqué on the import of certain electric vehicles (Import: 2024/22), published in the Official Gazette of 31/12/2023 and third repetition number 32416, is “Communiqué on the import of certain electric and externally chargeable hybrid vehicles (Import: 2024/22) )” has been changed to “.
ARTICLE 2- Article 1 of the same Communiqué is amended as follows.
“ARTICLE 1- (1) The purpose of this Communiqué is to regulate the import of electric or externally chargeable hybrid vehicles subject to type-approval, the GTIP numbers and goods description of which are given in Article 3.”
ARTICLE 3- The table in the first paragraph of the third article of the same Communiqué is amended as follows, clauses (a) and (b) of the second paragraph of the same article are amended as follows and the following paragraph is added to the same article.

“a) Motor vehicles of classes M and N (including classes L6 and L7 with vehicle equipment of class M) defined in the Highway Traffic Regulation published in the Official Gazette of 18/7/1997 and numbered 23053 regarding after-sales assembly, maintenance and repair of the goods to be imported. Certification by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) that at least 20 authorized service stations have been established by the importer in 7 geographical regions in the TS 12047 and TSE K 646 standards for vehicles and the TS 11921 standard for L. -class motor vehicles,
b) Persons responsible for the maintenance and repair of electric or off-road hybrid vehicles shall hold a qualification certificate issued by TSE or the Vocational Qualifications Authority exclusively for the maintenance and repair of electric or off-road hybrid vehicles.”
“(3) When importing electric or externally chargeable hybrid vehicles for which no type-approval is required, the exemption/out of scope issued by TSE is required by the customs administrations.”
ARTICLE 4- This Communiqué shall enter into force on the thirtieth day following the date of its publication.
ARTICLE 5- The Minister of Commerce shall implement the provisions of this Communiqué.
