The Skoda Octavia A8 (fourth generation model), which celebrates its third anniversary this year, is gradually rolling over to a restyling. And the Czechs have already started work on an updated version, as evidenced by fresh spy photos published the day before.

Judging by the photos published by our foreign colleagues from Motor1, there will be few changes in the appearance of the Skoda Octavia – according to the rules of the restyling genre. Probably, the Czechs will only retouch the radiator grille, refresh the design of the bumpers and possibly install refurbished optics. In general, the family (in Europe a station wagon is also offered in addition to the liftback) will retain its recognizable characteristics.

It is still difficult to say what surprises the interior will offer – the ubiquitous photo spies could not “click” the salon. There is also no information about the hardware. However, since the Skoda Octavia is not preparing for a generational change, but only for an update, it is safe to assume that technical revolutions will not happen. Most likely, the Czechs will just add some new options and – as an option – more advanced multimedia.

Whether the Russians can ‘feel’ the refreshed Octavia – once the most popular model of the C-segment (in 2022 it will be Kia Cerato) – is also a big question. After all, as the AvtoVzglyad portal wrote earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod conveyor, where Skoda Octavia and Karoq, as well as Volkswagen Taos are produced, is “frozen” until the fall. And so far it is not at all clear whether car production will resume there or whether Volkswagen Group Rus will cease to exist due to the Ukrainian conflict.
