The portal indicates that the OLED displays to be supplied to the German automaker will be used in a new car model that will go into series production from 2024. In total, the South Korean manufacturer will produce aboutand 4 million screens for car model within 6-7 years.
The news didn’t say what this supposed new car would be like from bmw who will receive panels from Samsung Display. But SamMobile reported that sources claimed the displays would be used in a “high-end sedan”.

These OLED panels will be produced at the company’s plant in Giheung, in South Korea. As noted by the portal, this partnership with the automaker is very important for a company that seeks to close the gap in terms of LG displaywhich has a significant number of customers in the automotive sector.
The company intends to use this agreement to help beat other traditional European automakers such as Audi. At present, the company is already a supplier of screens for some car models, such as OLED display Hyundai Ionic 5.
