The buyer of the assets was Alter Invest LLC, which turned out to be founded by… the top executives of Sollers himself – Nikolai Sobolev, Zoya Kaika and Viktor Khvesenya. The largest share was taken over by the director of UAZ, Adil Shirinov.
The new old management decided to call on the employees of the Ulnovsk Automobile Plant. In it, the executives noted that they believe “in the company, in our colleagues, in the labor collectives of all our companies, which unite the best professionals in the industry in their fields.”
“We are confident that with our joint efforts, we can tackle all the tasks ahead, and for the Ulyanovsk Auto Plant, the present time will take a new breath and provide a horizon of economic stability for years to come,” the appeal read.
Most importantly, however, the document signed by N. Sobolev and A. Shirinov contains the following sentence: “We expect to conclude negotiations on the production of new promising products at UAZ.”
What promising products this could be, the AvtoVzglyad portal told in sufficient detail when photos of the UAZ conveyor belt, on which the body of an unknown crossover is being brought, accidentally flashed on the UK social network.
