There are cars: dealers began to massively sell foreign cars from the Emirates
While sociological studies and other statistics scream about the collapse of the new car market, Russians’ reluctance to overpay and other demoralizing effects of current events, car dealers are straying from the official agenda in search of an opportunity to make money. And apparently “bread crumbs” have already been found. The AvtoVzglyad portal swept through the showrooms and saw a whole horde of coveted cars on the sites.

Buying a new car today is not an easy and very expensive task. From the buyer’s side, the process looks like this: we pay two prices too much, we buy the mid-range for the price of a premium car, and we get hope, not a vehicle. Since there are fewer and fewer new cars, and not everyone who wants them will get them even for money. Sometimes – just a refund and mean apologies. However, there is another side of the problem: the seller.

No sales – no money, and expenses are growing: rent, utility bills, salaries have not been canceled. There is also no eternal way out for service and the sale of spare parts: the warehouses of the suppliers are empty and new contracts for the purchase of consumables and units are concluded with a lot of creaking and little profit. However, to survive you have to sell. Q: what to sell?

The strongly boosted ruble once again opened the door to used cars from all possible corners of the world, and the official dealers of car brands, of course, took advantage of this opportunity. A simple example is Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, made for the Arab market, which is already on sale in Moscow. They are distinguished from domestically assembled cars by a sunroof, different tires, a large screen of a multimedia system and the absence of an ERA-GLONASS unit. The cars are fresh, but, taking into account the new reality, they cost “according to the market”.

The car has low mileage, judging by the wear on the tires and interior, rich equipment, good body condition and, most importantly, miles are wrapped along good Arabian highways. Without running through Russia. Of course, they must be “finished”: perform an anti-corrosion treatment, change oils and all lubricants, including bearings, as the “slurry” is designed for heat, not cold. You will also have to accept or install the lack of heating. The price of such training is from 300,000 to 700,000 rubles.

There is good news, however: the laziness of the dealer center employees, who ‘forget’ to pull out the old price sheet, suggests that the seller is ready to negotiate. Moreover, you can move to a meeting not only in price, but also in equipping the car. For “real money” the dealer will replace the lubricants and “plug in” the heater. Just pay, buyer.

The appearance of the “first signs” suggests that the Russian car market has already started rebuilding and agrees to abide by the new rules. Over time, more cars, both used and new, will come in as part of parallel imports. More goods – more options to choose and negotiate. Seller wins, buyer wins. Only the official representatives of the brands are the losers, because they forgot the old Russian rule: if you can not stop the drink, lead it.
