The process of leaving Renault from Russia, officially launched in May this year, is progressing steadily towards its final. The AvtoVzglyad portal has discovered its details.
The former Renault dealer network in Russia is in its final days. According to the AvtoVzglyad portal’s own information, the owners of some car dealerships that previously traded French cars are frantically switching to working with Chinese cars in order to survive.
Notably, Renault signs have already been replaced by Geely signs in a number of multi-brand car shop complexes. This is exactly what happened, for example, in Avtomir, located in Khimki, and Avtogermes, on the Gorky Highway. The situation is dire for monobrand dealers who specialize exclusively in the sale and maintenance of Renault cars.
According to their employees, there is currently a sale of warehouse stocks of the brand’s machines. When they are “cleaned up”, the DC will most likely be closed as they are unlikely to survive from car maintenance and repair alone. This information has been unofficially confirmed to us by RTDService and Renault Petrovsky. For hundreds of thousands of Russian owners of cars of the French brand, this threatens with serious problems.
