Russian car factories to sell spare parts for “sanctioned” foreign cars

After some car brands left Russia and banged the door loudly, ordinary car owners had a perfectly logical question: where can brand spare parts be bought now? The AvtoVzglyad portal tells how the genuine parts market will change.

The Renault brand acted more civilized than others, entrusting AVTOVAZ with the task of supplying spare parts. At the same time, the “daughter” of the car giant can import components without any restrictions, so there will be no shortage of brake pads, wishbones and other wheel bearings.

It’s a completely different matter – freight lines of the “Big European Seven”. The local offices of Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN, IVECO, DAF and Renault have ceased all activities, including the supply of original spare parts. And this has become a serious problem for Russian airlines.

As a result, according to Autoreview, KamAZ will supply the equipment of the mentioned brands with parts. It is still unclear whether KAMAZ dealers plan to repair imported commercial vehicles, but they certainly plan to sell auto parts for foreign cars.

It is clear that the truck giant will use the parallel import mechanism. According to the publication, more than 600 of the most popular features have been selected for commercial Mercedes, about 200 for Volvo, Scania and MANs.

By the way, when automakers from pro-American countries, due to sanctions, parted ways with Russia one by one, it seemed that in the end we would be left with domestic cars and “Chinese”. Now there is a real chance for diversity.
