Now the project participants are preparing the concept of the future car, and the former vice president of AVTOVAZ, Harald Grubel, is leading the process.
Vedomosti optimistically assures that JSC Kama plans to present the result of its activities by 2024 at the latest. But this is pure utopia! It is simply impossible to create a truly new model in such a short time. According to our predictions, 2026 is the most realistic date for the appearance of a real Kama, subject to generous funding. However, which does not prevent the said company from even organizing tenders for PR support of the future project and organizing its premiere. On the one hand, KamAZ, which acts as an industrial partner of Moskvich, has a long-term partner – the JAC brand. But whether this “heavenly” automaker wants to share its cars is now a big question. After all, Kamaz was subject to targeted US sanctions!
Accordingly, if US authorities find out about joint projects between Russian and Chinese companies, JAC will be threatened with “secondary sanctions”. This is a very unpleasant phenomenon, leaving the brand without loans, components and Western partners … Obviously, such risks cannot be recouped through profits from the sale of cars to Russians.
Iranian Renault Logan is our everything!
