Dealers began to close en masse in Russia

Under the conditions of sanctions and embargo on the supply of cars, the dealer network is struggling, because many car dealers now have nothing corny to trade. It is therefore not surprising that some entrepreneurs preferred to close their DCs rather than look for new market niches.

According to experts, the auto trading segment is waiting for “dark times”: as experts from the agency “Avtostat” suggest, the number of dealers can be reduced by 15-20% by the end of this year. And the activity of Chinese brands in the Russian market, willingly “recruiting” new sellers, will not help to rectify the situation…

In concrete terms, about a hundred DCs have already been closed. In April, 3,203 dealers were working across the country and now there are already 3,102 car dealers left … Some had to “change orientation”, after issuing FAW, Chery and Geely dealers.

This is how the former Renault network is experiencing its last days. According to our editors’ own information, the owners of some car dealerships that sold French cars are looking for a way to save the company. In addition, some sites are ready to move away from the official agenda in search of earning opportunities. And apparently “bread crumbs” have already been found. The AvtoVzglyad portal went through the showrooms and saw a whole horde of coveted cars on the sites.
