The Russian car industry went into deepest coma

In circumstances where only 5 or 6 of all car plants operate relatively stable, including trucks, it is clear that there is simply nowhere to collect production data. And indeed it is! As a recent report prepared by Rosstat shows, the patient is now more likely dead than alive.

In June, Russian car manufacturers produced just 13,000 cars, which is 89% less than a year earlier. The situation was less dire for trucks. Auto factories producing comtrans were able to produce 10,300 vehicles on the market, which is 40% worse than last year’s figure. For example, an extremely unhealthy situation has arisen in Russia: not much heavier trucks than cars were made!

It is worth recognizing that for the passenger car industry it was the first month of summer that proved to be a turning point. After all, it was then that AVTOVAZ finally took off after a long downtime and set up production of the “anti-crisis” LADA Granta.

By the way, under the new state program you can buy a 2022 LADA Granta Classic for only 543,120 rubles. And we can assume that such an attractive price will make many Russians turn their attention to the products of their native car giant.

In addition, production of the LADA Niva Legend SUV resumed in Tolyatti, and soon Niva Travel and Largus are expected to return to the assembly line. It is clear that this will significantly improve the production statistics of the entire Russian car industry.
