The staff of the Izhevsk Automobile Plant, now called LADA Izhevsk, wrote an open letter to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In this letter, the content of which has been reviewed by the AvtoVzglyad portal, AVTOVAZ employees ask the president to bring the company out of the “negative state”.

According to the authors of the appeal, due to the lack of necessary components for the production of LADA Vesta, LADA Izhevsk will be inactive for the next 12 months, since, most likely, production of the flagship family will resume only in the second half of next year.

In addition, as the authors of the letter assure, the management of AvtoVAZ recently decided to transfer the production of Vesta to the Togliatti site and, in turn, load the Izhevsk conveyor belt with the production of electric vehicles based on LADA lagus.

– According to AVTOVAZ, the Russian car market will need about 250,000 Vests next year. Izhevsk can’t physically produce that much, but Tolyatti can, the factory staff notes.

As a result, the leadership of the car giant received accusations … Allegedly, the bosses of the company will take Vesta, turn off the equipment and in return only promise an electric Largus, which today only exists on paper.

Residents of Izhevsk reminded Vladimir Putin how he saved the Izhevsk car factory, avoiding bankruptcies and the sale of real estate. In 2010, it was the President of the Russian Federation who identified the assembly point as a strategic partner of AVTOVAZ.

The official AVTOVAZ has in no way responded to the open letter from the employees of LADA Izhevsk.

Also, the LADA brand has not yet responded to the information about the delivery of LADA Vesta NG. Meanwhile, some dealers of the “Russian brand No. 1” have already announced the price tags at which they will sell the cars shipped this week.
