Electric crossover Evolute i-Joy certified in Russia

It is believed that the line of the new Russian brand Evolute, under which the converted electric trains from China will be sold, will include four models: the i-PRO sedan, the i-Van minivan, the i-Joy and Voyah Free crossovers. . The compact i-Joy is the first to hit the market – the manufacturer recently received a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for a novelty.

The Evolute i-Joy is a modified version of the Seres 3 crossover from DFSK (a joint venture between Dongfeng and Chongqing Sokon Industry Group). Although it’s hard to call it modified: Russia didn’t bother with the original design – they just took a Chinese car and put their nameplates on it.

In terms of technology, the Evolute i-Joy is equipped with an electric power plant of two engines, producing a total of 176 hp. Of. On a single charge of a 53 kilowatt-hour battery, the crossover can travel up to 405 km. But, of course, this is under ideal conditions, which are very different from real Russian ones.

Motorinvest promised to start mass production of the Evolute i-Joy by the end of the third quarter of this year, i.e. in October. So it’s not long wait: very soon we will find out all the details about the new “household” electric car – in particular, and its price. Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said the cost of i-Joy would be comparable to the prices of classmates with combustion engines. Therefore, we can assume that it will be about 2-3 million rubles.

Recall that Evolute also participated in the state program of preferential car loans. If by the time Lipetsk’s electric trains go on sale, if the budget is not exhausted, they can be purchased at a 35% discount. And why the authorities “Evolute” (and only him!) give such preferences, the portal “AvtoVzglyad” is explained in detail here.
