Car owners have come up with a semi-legal way to make the car “invisible” to traffic police cameras
Russian drivers are generally more disciplined on the road. Affects the overall growth of the driving culture level. But some of them are kept within the law only by the presence of cameras for automatic recording of traffic violations. But reckless drivers don’t calm down in their attempts to trick the system, according to the AvtoVzglyad portal.

The restless “creative” thought of violating drivers is constantly looking for ways to counter the traffic police’s cameras, which are gradually controlling new locations in the cities and towns of Russia. Now, according to police statistics, about 90% of all fines for motorists are handed out using automatic restraining tools. So the grief of the offenders is generally understandable.

Get rid of traffic police cameras, for obvious reasons they can’t. But they leave no effort to make the electronic “Big Brother” lose the ability to set up penalty protocols for them. And also not to undergo significant punishment for such tricks.

Quite a number of these types of “recipes” of varying degrees of plausibility and effectiveness are circulating on the Internet. However, we recently learned that there is a relatively new method from this series. It is based on the belief that the traffic police camera cannot read a license plate with worn paint. And accordingly, the violation found by it will not lead to the formation of a criminal order.

It is known that in cars that are driven a lot and often at high speed on dusty and dirty roads, over time the coating on license plates is gradually erased by constant collisions with particles of sand, dirt and small stones. Sometimes down to bare metal.

Police officers, as a rule, do not pay attention to such cars, because they are well aware that their owners do not even think about hiding number plates from someone. Exactly such operating conditions – it happens, as they say. Knowing this, “smart” drivers came up with the idea of carefully “aging” the GRP of their cars using a sandblasting machine. It is not used “to the fullest”, because in this case the coating of the license plate is torn down to the metal. Sandblasted in “light” mode – to erase only the black paint from the alphanumeric combination of the white background and give the number a naturally worn look.

For the sake of plausibility, only the prefix is processed in this way. The rear GRZ, which has been worn down by the oncoming sand flow, will at least be perceived oddly.

Strictly speaking, a lost license plate qualifies as illegible. For driving with illegible number plates pursuant to part 1 of Article 12.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the driver is entitled to a fine of 500 rubles. Or a warning. In the worst case, after receiving a protocol of 500 rubles from a living traffic police officer, the owner of a car with a sandblasted license plate with a light heart pays 250 rubles to the treasury (thanks to a 50 percent “discount”). And he will continue to violate the traffic rules with impunity, ignoring all the cameras of the oncoming traffic police that “shoot” in the front of the car …
