Why it is absolutely impossible to take a used car in the top version
When buying a used car, many citizens tend to buy a car in the maximum configuration. Take your time! This is justified when buying a new one, and the already “running” version can bring a lot of unpleasant surprises. About why in the search it is worth giving preference to cheaper versions, the AvtoVzglyad portal tells.

Let’s not reveal the secret that when buying a new car, citizens try to buy the richest version. And managers competing with each other say that such a car is much easier to sell on the secondary market, they say. But if you look from the buyer’s point of view, not everything is clear. Whoever “bites” on the entire “filling”, then bitterly regrets, because such a version can bring much more unpleasant surprises than simpler configurations.

Let’s start with optics. The top versions of many cars contain expensive LEDs or xenon, and the basic versions only contain halogen lamps. LEDs are much more durable than halogens and they shine better. But they also break. Usually after 5-8 years of use, when the first owner has already sold the car. That is, all the costs of replacing the lamps are borne by the buyer of the “beushka”. And if the headlights are matrix or laser, fixing just one will literally ruin it. So it is better to choose versions with halogens. You will replace the bulbs more often, but they are cheaper.

The story is similar for the rear lights, because the LEDs burn through there too. If this happens on a dark road and even far from the city, expect an accident.

As for the engine, it is better to choose one whose design is simpler and more understandable. That is, a car with a naturally aspirated engine is preferable to a supercharged one. The latter is erratic, requires high-quality fuel and oil. In the current reality, this will force you to look for consumables. Suction, as a rule, is unpretentious, since it was developed in the late 90s. Such and 92nd gasoline “eats” without problems, and semi-synthetic oil will suit him. Usually, the manufacturer offers such units only in basic and medium versions.

If we talk about the gearbox, choose the “mechanics” or the classic “automatic”. Let both transmissions be archaic, but even if the oil has not been changed in them, they will hold the latter and not break down. But a technologically advanced “robot” or variator will have to be repaired immediately. And now it’s expensive.

Finally multimedia. The top versions of cars have large screens and advanced multimedia functionality, while in the middle trim levels everything is simpler. And the simpler, the less electronics will break. Especially in winter when the huge screen just refuses to work. But the heating of the cabin and seats is “tied” to it. In the mid trim levels, the touch panels have been replaced by the usual buttons and knobs, so there’s just nothing to refuse. This is another reason to buy a basic or medium version car.
