The Metropolitan State Traffic Inspectorate continues to “hunt” malicious non-payers of fines. So, for the period from January to July, road police officers have made almost 80,000 decisions under part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Circumvention of the execution of administrative penalties”.

According to the Moscow traffic police, of the 79,032 drivers prosecuted for evading punishment, almost half – namely 32,455 people – have more than 50 arrears of fines on their “account”. At the same time, the recovery rate for debt repayment for the first seven months of the year is quite high – it was 87.6%.

The department warned that traffic police will continue to work actively to identify defaulters. And those are, as we remember, those who did not pay the fine within the first 60 days from the date of entry into force of the decree.

As for the responsibility under Part 1 of Article 20.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Circumvention of the execution of administrative penalties”, the driver can double the amount of unpaid fines (but not less than 1000 rubles), arrest him for up to 15 days or send him to mandatory work – up to 50 hours.
