Russian drivers have a special love for tinting glass – in many cases even “illegal”, exceeding the established standards. For example, since the beginning of the year in Moscow, traffic police officers have identified nearly 93,000 violations related to “movie tuning”. And, of course, law enforcement officers don’t stop there.
More precisely, according to the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate, the traffic police issued 92,937 fines for violating the color standards in the first seven months of the year. And this is today – 500 rubles in accordance with part 3.1 of Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the car owner is obliged to “stop illegal actions” – that is, remove the film directly at the scene of the crime. If this is not possible, the traffic police officer issues a corresponding demand to the driver. And if it is also ignored, administrative responsibility arises under part 1 of art. 19.3, with a fine from 2,000 to 4,000 rubles, arrest up to 15 days or compulsory labor from 40 to 120 hours.
Recall that earlier the AvtoVzglyad portal wrote that “Iranian” tinting is gaining popularity in Russia. And you can read about what it is and why motorists are increasingly using it here.
