During the holiday season, many holidaymakers arrive by car on the Black Sea coast. Among them are many alcohol drinkers. Crimea’s traffic police are arresting drunk drivers to the best of their ability. But when their numbers start to fall on the road of the scale, or the police urgently need to “show the result”, the region announces an operational and preventive measure “Drunk driver”.
In essence, it is not much different from similar raids carried out by the traffic police in other parts of Russia. The Crimean traffic police have announced that they will “sniff” drunk drivers on the road from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28 with particular fondness. In its official “announcement” of the robbery of drunks, the region’s traffic police warns that the offender for drink-driving risks a fine of 30,000 rubles and deprivation of “rights” for a period of one and a half to two years. Law enforcement officers also ask citizens to inform them if they find a drunk car.
