Meet – a brutal all-terrain vehicle that can drive and even pass. And not only on the roads and their absence, but also on the rocks and even in the water.
In the arsenal – a powerful V8, relentlessly borrowed from the unfriendly Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, developing almost 1000 forces! However, there is an option to crank up the engine to 1200 hp. s., and at the same time equip the car with armor, gold and even an electronic water pipe. And what: he smoked himself – he gave a light to others!
Not so long ago, Alexander Lukashenko commissioned the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences to design a unique car of its kind, which became the Academic Electro model. Since it is not difficult to guess from the name, the machine turned out to be strictly electric. Yes, even with plastic panels.
It is based on a double cabin and a luggage compartment with a capacity of 650 liters. A kind of freight passenger bus with an electric motor hidden under the ground, producing 79 hp, powered by a battery with a capacity of only 20 kW / h. Without additional charging, the car can travel up to 150 kilometers, and “refueling” takes no more than a few hours.
By the way, the president of Belarus once rolled out an overseas Tesla himself, and here he is, apparently, an ironic answer to the upstart Elon Musk of local masters.
Another project of the said institute is an electric supercar called Electro Roadster, which can threaten the American Tesla much more. Albeit purely theoretically, because the prototype is just being tested, and on Belarusian spare parts.
The roadster’s design seemed old-fashioned and even funny. And the whole thing is powered by a 218 hp electric motor, which can accelerate the car to 170 km/h. At the same time, it reaches top speed in six seconds, but the engineers plan to reduce this number to just four. Why don’t you do a gun race?
