According to the results of a survey initiated by our colleagues at Auto Mail, 92% of Russian car owners have experienced an increase in vehicle maintenance prices. Of the 5,200 people who participated in the survey, 57% admitted to experiencing a shortage of various parts for the car.
Nearly 59% of respondents reported that in the current reality they have to save a lot on the maintenance of “iron horses”: 44% admitted that they cheated on certified car services with cheap gas stations. It is noteworthy that most drivers encountered difficulties in selecting engine oil – almost 55%, suspension elements – 33%, engine parts – 32.8%.
Problems with finding and buying tires were experienced by 29% of car owners, and with the purchase of body parts – 28.5%. It is also difficult to find suitable filters, as reported by 27% of drivers, brake pads – 21%.
At the same time, more than 73% of Russian motorists do not intend to give up traveling in a private car. Only 14.5% of respondents expressed a desire to trap their car, or not sell it at all.
In the meantime, insurers have been competing with scarce spare parts. What measures they decided to take was discovered by the AvtoVzglyad portal.
